Our History

ICVM is a community of Christians involved in bringing the message of Christ to the world through the use of media. As an organization, we are committed to bringing together like-minded individuals with the same passion, and helping our members multiply their effectiveness through every possible opportunity.

ICVM started with the advent of the Christian film industry. Many companies formed to meet the demand of more and better quality dramatic movies with a spiritual emphasis. Children’s videos started to proliferate as more and more parents became frustrated with what was coming out of Hollywood.

Today ICVM is a consortium of producers and distributors making a difference in the world through visual media. The ICVM membership family includes media organizations and media missionaries as well as individual video producers, independent writers, directors, actors and even some individuals who are simply interested in supporting Christian films and filmmakers.

Whatever your niche, we ask you to prayerfully consider joining this group who will encourage you to fulfill God’s call for your life.

Who We Are

We are a group of Christian writers, directors, producers, performers and distributors who began working together in an association to more effectively reach people with the message of the Gospel in the 1970′s. The International Christian Visual Media (ICVM) name and current makeup was adopted in 1993.

What We Do

Organizing and hosting a yearly conference with emphasis on networking and training
Organizing and hosting The Crown Awards by means of which outstanding productions are recognized
Providing a library of audio resources highlighting workshops and training

Our Members

ICVM is truly an international group, with members from over 20 nations representing all forms of visual media backgrounds.

We strive to continually develop and hone the skills God has given us. Through our workshops and speakers we strive to a better standard.

We believe that our common mission can be more effectively executed by working together.

A Unique Association

We believe that visual media can do for the spread of the Gospel what Gutenburg’s printing press did hundreds of years ago. By spurring each other on to excellence, we believe we can make a significant impact in the world.
